As people increasingly rely on apps to manage daily life, it’s no surprise period trackers are popular. But the data they collect can be used against you. Women’s health apps, including period trackers, aren’t protected by HIPAA, meaning users don’t have guaranteed privacy or control over their data.

I Support the Girls (ISTG) provides a paper period tracker you can download and print today. One sheet lasts you an entire year and helps you see visually what symptoms you are experiencing in addition to the timing of your periods.

You shouldn’t need an app to understand your own body.

ISTG is currently supporting the  “My Body, My Data Act of 2025” (H.R. 3916/S. 2029), and encourages you to contact your legislator to move this bill forward.

ISTG advocates for women’s health and rights beyond data privacy. Through an international network of Affiliates, I Support the Girls collects and distributes essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing women and folks experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress to stand tall with dignity.
